2021 Testify

This collection of landscapes was inspired by a solitary bluff view of Lake Michigan. I intentionally limited my palette and my inspiration to simplify and clarify my practice. I finished the collection with tearful gratitude -- I had taken a break from painting for over a year after the birth of my children and it was so refreshing, rejuvenating, exhilarating (I can hardly find the word!) to come back to my studio. Also of note: I listened to the Needtobreathe Acoustic Live Vol 1. album almost exclusively while painting  this collection.
